The Beaufort is Barbour's most traditional wax jacket (available since 1983). The jacket was originally designed for hunting and is therefore equipped with a special waterproof game pocket at the back of the jacket. The jacket is made of 170 gram waxed thorn-resistant cotton, has a corduroy collar and a sturdy two-way zip. Over this is a 'storm-proof' closure with press studs. The jacket has four pockets, two large pockets at the bottom and two pockets at the waist. The Beaufort is also equipped with a large "game pocket" on the back. This pocket is waterproof, of course no dead animal needs to be in there, a newspaper or an iPad is also possible. The Beaufort is lined on the inside with the well-known Barbour tartan.
The jacket can be expanded with an optional lining and a hood.
